Appelé ainsi car il guidait les pèlerins de France vers l'Espagne, il relie Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port à Saint-Jacques- de-Compostelle en passant par Roncevaux, Pampelune, Estella, Los Arcos ou encore Burgos. Les pages de ce guide accompagnent le marcheur dans toutes les étapes de cette « Ruta Interior » empruntée aujourd'hui par 95 % des pèlerins.
